I stare at this page, a blank screen, watching the blinking cursor wait, wondering what to write, and whether words will come to me.

I haven’t picked up this virtual “pen”, faced this literal screen, since I laid my friend to rest, danced her spirit away into the night, ashes scattered in the place she loved most.
